On May 31, 2020 Intuit will be ending support and services for the Quickbooks 2017 accounting software. Any company still using the 2017 version will need to purchase, install and update to a newer version, ideally Quickbooks 2020.
What exactly does this mean? The software will not stop working and you will be able to access your data file even after May 31, 2020. However, if you utilize any online services for payroll, online banking, credit card processing and merchant services, these services will stop working in the 2017 version of Quickbooks after May 31, 2020.
Also, regardless of whether you use any associated online services, all users of Quickbooks 2017 will not longer be able to receive technical support or updates from Quickbooks. This can also affect any other programs or services that you have integrated with Quickbooks as those services may be affected as well.
We always recommend keeping all software current and updated, so we highly advise that anyone still using Quickbooks 2017 upgrade before May 31, 2020.
