In March 2021, Susan Melcher joined the Biztek team as a vCIO and Technical Services Manager.
Susan had a variety of careers in her life, working as a hospice chaplain, online marketer, and cemetery salesperson and technical writer before finding her way into IT. Since finding her home in professional IT, she has filled numerous roles working as part of internal IT teams and with Managed Service Providers. Working with BizTek clients as a vCIO and as the BizTek technical manager allows her to leverage this breadth of experience for our clients in order to provide technical solutions and support for organizations as a whole. She loves the ever-changing nature of IT support and especially helping clients make technology work for their business.
When not working, Susan loves to run, ski and hike with her dogs and husband in the mountains she calls home. She is currently working on conquering her fear of heights in anticipation of climbing Half Dome in Yosemite. If asked, she identifies with classic ‘geek culture’ more than contemporary video games and can be found playing tabletop RPG games and reading comic books (when her husband the Jock isn’t looking!). A self-proclaimed Parrothead she has traveled as far as Paris, France, for Jimmy Buffett concerts and loves to rock out to Margaritaville radio while riding her Harley on her daily commute.
